"At Europia, we are proud to commit to the Mishto Pledge and to stand alongside organisations across the UK working to create services that have equitable access for Roma communities.
Since 2008, we have worked with Roma people, recognising both the unique strengths of their culture and the barriers that they continue to face. Via our advice and advocacy services, community projects, and partnerships, we aim to provide support that is culturally competent, person-centred and responsive to the unique needs of those we serve. We strive to make our services accessible to the Roma community by offering multilingual support, translated resources, and staff and volunteers who understand the languages, cultures and lived experiences of the communities we work alongside. We continue to build relationships with Roma community members to improve communication and ensure that our services reflect their unique needs and priorities. By signing the Mishto Pledge, we reaffirm our commitment to continually improving how we work with Roma communities. We will continue to strengthen our cultural competency, promote awareness of Roma history and culture, develop inclusive communication methods, and ensure that Roma people have opportunities to shape the services that affect them." |

“At Grove Academy we are proud to commit to the Mishto Pledge and stand alongside schools, communities, and organisations working to promote understanding, inclusion, and equality for Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller people. We believe every child and family deserves to feel respected, represented, and safe within education.
By signing the Mishto Pledge, we are reaffirming our commitment to challenging prejudice, celebrating cultural diversity, and ensuring our school environment reflects the values of fairness and belonging for all.” – Natalie Wismayer [Headteacher at Grove Academy]. |
