The Roma Support Group, in partnership with The Big Issue, has been awarded a grant from The National Lottery to deliver a three-year project called Pharovas o Traios (Changing Futures).
Co-produced with Roma beneficiaries, this project empowers Roma Big Issue vendors to strengthen their connections with local services, networks, and opportunities. By doing so, Pharovas o Traios aims to reduce social and financial isolation, tackle exclusion, and build confidence to increase independence.

- Improve pathways into statutory and community support services, education, and employment
- Provide peer support and interpretation training through a Roma Champion Scheme
- Develop and deliver Roma Awareness Training to frontline services
- Equip Big Issue frontline workers to deliver Roma-specific support
