Steps to ESOL

Welcome to Ketane Essential English Skills.

This is an ESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages) course created by ELATT and Roma Support Group.

This course will help you to develop your vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening in English.You will learn how to use English to help you with life in the UK. For example, you will study how to describe health problems with the doctor and how to understand the different benefits available in the UK.

The course is available at two levels - Entry 1 (beginner) and Entry 3 (intermediate).
To complete the course, you will study the following 8 units:

1. Covid, 2. Universal Credit, 3. Carer's Allowance, 4. Personal Independence Payment, 5. Pregnancy, 6. Shopping, 7. Domestic Violence, and 8. Health.

Each unit has a video lesson, practice activity and quiz. When you have completed these units, you can take the Final Assessment. You must get 75% of the questions correct to pass the Final Assessment. If you pass, you can download a certificate of achievement.
