On Tuesday 24th July 2012 Roma Support Group service users and staff attended a guided tour of the Palace of Westminster kindly organised by Lord Eric Avebury.
After an informative tour we met with Lord Avebury for afternoon tea where the children were able to ask questions about his longstanding work for Gypsy, Roma Traveller communities, his thoughts on the obstacles faced by Roma children in education and most importantly how they could become a member of the House of Lords too!!
Roma Support Group would like to say thank you to Lord Avebury for his time and his continued work on behalf of Roma children and young people.
