The Project's objectives include:
This is achieved through activities such as:
In the recent years, Roma Support Group has emerged as a leading organisation influencing Roma relevant local, regional and national policy development. We have also developed into a trusted partner for other organisations working to influence policy development and for public services seeking input from Roma communities. Furthermore, we have increased our capacity and skills to support Roma advocates, professionals and organisations to contribute to local, regional and national policy development relevant for Roma.
Our regular and varied contact with Roma families, particularly in London but also throughout the country, gives us a great responsibility. This includes the need to empower Roma community members themselves to speak to decision-makers about their experiences. The project recognises that the world can be a better place if Roma communities are seen, valued and respected.
